Southern Housing Group has chosen DW Contractors (Oxford) Ltd from 13 bidders for a £23m five + five year responsive repair and void refurbishment programme.

The work will involve responsive repairs and void refurbishment of kitchens, bathrooms and electrical wiring for over 4,000 individual properties. The choice of contractor was weighted 50% on price and 50% on quality. The contract is for Day-to-Day responsive repairs, emergency work, out of hours emergency work through a dedicated Call Centre and Voids Property Repairs which may involve replacement of kitchens and bathrooms and in some cases the provision carpets and full redecoration. The work will also involve planned package repairs, maintenance and/or improvement works, partnering proposal.
